Project Car Update 6

Things are really coming along now.  The front sheet metal has been fitted to the chassis.  It has been made to remove as one piece.  Duzs fasteners are used to attach the fenders, valance, and grill.  5 fasteners are used per side.

A picture from the rear of the car looking through the trunk.  We made a few changes to the cage since the last update.  Previously bars from the outer edge (by the door) went to the centre of the rear suspension support bar (where the coil overs attach to).  This was changed around to have the bars go from the centre of the horizontal bar behind the seat out to outer edge of either side of the rear suspension support bar.  This should offer better triangulation.

A rough measurement puts the engine back 15 to 17 inches.  Lots of room now for the intercooler and rad.

Still a few things to work out with the front suspension [EDIT Oct 2000 No longer using Griggs front suspension].  The upper arm mount and steering shaft.  Looking for small CV joints (< 2" diameter), or a double cardon joint?

...develop, race, win!
